Hi
I just bought two sets of fish from a LFS (Very Trustworthy) but the fish are so small that I cannot identify the sexes of one at all (Borellii), and the other set (Panduro) Might be able to be sexed.
So Since I cannot take photos, Does anyone have any pictures of the young say about 1/2" in length to 3/4" in length of both sexes? Maybe once I see your youngins I'll get to identify the sexes of both speices.
Some thoughts:
The Borellii's I have 4 all together 2 stay very yellow with all the little bars the other 2 are the same sizes and the bars come and go throughout the day depending on stresses by other fishes. The 2 that could be males have small bright blue dots about the size of 1 mm on the front of the head by the eyes.
I have 2 panduro's 1 about 3/4" I believe to be female from a book picture showing her with a large tummy spot and bar going down from below the eyes. The other 1 of the Panduro's is only 1/2" and has no tummy spot.
I have some experiences with other species but not in breeding these 2 types so I have not seen young growing up from these two yet (fingers crossed for later).
Thanks for any help!
Doug
