Hi

Well that's the thing. I'm not 100% sure. She was listed as a juruensis but I am not finding much on just that sub type

I see what you mean. Not a lot of information on this one that can be googled in general because there are so many other things with that name. However, you can find a lot of good information by narrowing your search down to this site. On Google, try using this search and you'll find lots of information to browse. site:apistogramma.com Apistogramma juruensis

Hi all,
It is unlikely to be Apistogramma juruensis, because that species isn't common in the hobby and would have a separated caudal spot (not conjoined with the lateral stripe). The fish normally sold as A. "juruensis" is Apistogramma allpahuayo (until scientifically described known as A. sp. Schwarzkinn/Black-chin), I think that also has a separate caudal spot

With the usual disclaimer that I'm pretty poor at both identification and sexing, but I think that it is a female wild type Apistogramma cacatuoides, you would need some-one who knows what they are talking about to confirm it.

cheers Darrel

Re-designing and starting a new fish room all over again. This time we'll have many more Apistsogramma species. We are expanding.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
