Hello, I can't get eggs from my apistogramma and ramirezi. I'm feeding dry food in the morning and live food in the evening. The temperature is 26 degrees. I'm using soil and reverse osmosis water products. I'm making mineral adjustments. I'm trying to adjust the TDS to around 50. Can you help me?

We need some more information.

What species of Apistogramma?
What foods do you feed exactly?
Are there any other fish in the tanks?
Care to share pictures of the tanks?

Adding minerals is counteracting RO water and soil.
Also you might want to replace the soil with sand and leaf litter, which is much more appropriate.

Are you sure that the fish are all pairs and of the same species? Can you post pics?

The tank you posted a picture off is crying out for more cover, such as would to provide some seclusion.

Yes, the species are the same, so what should I do? What would be better to add?

As for the species, this looks like a male A. hongsloi:

and this is a pair of A. panduro:

Your other male (post #9) is A. agassizii "Blue flame (aka Alamare Red tail)" and the female from post #5 can be some kind of agassizii female.

A few things - first you can't make them lay eggs no matter what you do - in theory it should happen in time but there are no guarantee and the pictures haven't been good enough to confirm you ahve male/female.

second if they do spawn for some of the species the aquariums are going to be a bit problematic that that is a different issue. Also depending on if the fishes are wc or tankraise the water for a couple of the species is on the harder side (or perhaps too hard for the eggs to hatch); however all of this is secondary to actually spawning which you said has not happened.

So i guess the first question is why do you think they should spawn - are they mature ? Has the female shown any interest in spawning (turned yellow); has the female panduro (which has a different behavior than the cokcatoo and agaszii) indicated that she will accept the male you have ?

Your tanks really need a lot more in them to provide cover. I would also look at sand as a substrate rather than whatever you have.

My Borelli Opal spawned for me first time about 2 weeks ago. My recommendation is to keep it simple, balanced, and from the sound of it you’re already feeding them well. I would say more plants for refuge, just to make sure they’re comfortable. Other than that, my apistos bred fine, tds around 120, ph at a 6, nitrates at 10. As much as we want to make the perfect environment, balance and very small fluctuations are probably better overall, in my opinion.

A. borellii are a bit more forgiving than the species the OP has especially EC and pH can be far higher for borellii to work out.

Don’t get me wrong, I 110% agree with you. They’re the first apisto pair I’ve kept, I’ve had a couple male only tanks previous, it’s just what worked for me. I will say that my apistos were born, raised, and bred all local to me, with water within very similar parameters. Given that these could be from a different region in Europe, as well as possibly WC, that obviously plays a large factor in the overall comfortability with the specimens.

If there’s anything that I could undoubtedly recommend, refuge seems to be a big ticket with my pair. They don’t seem to mind a brighter light, but they definitely don’t enjoy it either. Even with the hides you have reflected light still gets in there, possibly making them uneasy. Just my observations, from my fish, anecdotally. Of course though, if there’s any advice to take, it’s from MacZ

I can confirm, for your fish you have found a sweetspot. The TDS/EC is the main difference and this is a crucial one.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
