Hi,
I have kept fish for about 5 years. A couple of days ago I found some apistogramma cacatuoides and promptly bought a pair for an outrageous price that I was still very happy with. I then found this excellent looking forum. I have my a. cacatuoides in a 3ft tank, but I am moving them into a 4ft. Can you recommend any tankmates from them? Here's a picture: I know everyone uses this excuse, but sorry for the picture quality, my phones camera is really bad and they never stand still.
Thanks

Hi

I have my apistos with Norman's lampeye. A small school of them make a stunning spectacle and they pose no treat to the apistos, nor to the apistos' fry. In right conditions they even manage to reproduce, but not in large numbers since their fry end up as apistos food.

Saludos

JARCH

Small tetras, rasboras, pencilfish, barbs, soft-water species of killifish and rainbowfish ...
Avoid fish that will compete for cave space (plecos, loaches, Badis, other cichlids)
