Colombia (east of the Andes) includes 2 hydrologic systems - the Orinoco and the Amazon. Do you know which system, or more specifically in which river(s) your Sturisomatichthis are found? That would help narrow down a true biotope community. I know nothing about loricarids. Your Sturisomatichthis might even live in a biotope that doesn't have dwarf cichlids or commercially available species.

There are serveral Sturisomatichthys species found in Colombian waters. All of them are found in rivers in the eastern drainages.
There is very little information regarding http://www.planetcatfish.com/sturisomatichthys_sp`colombia`.
However, if you search in the cat-elog section of Loricaridae, way down to the bottom of this page:
http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/family.php?family_id=4
You will find several species in this genus occur in Colombia.
I would think this would give you considerable latitude on species selection when it comes to potential tank mates.
