Hi,

It was suggested to me to use 2 mL of hydrogen peroxide in the water to quickly kill a hydra infestation. It's supposed to be very safe for fish, but no mention of plants. There is also a post on that thread that someone wrote that it will also kill algae.

Is this method safe for plants?

Is this effective for (BBA and BGA) or just simple algae?

Thanks,
Michael

It weakens the BBA enough for amanos and SAE to eat it. It is not safe for fish. It is like any other medication, reduce the dosage for sensitive fishes or amanos.
Add it in the morning as well so your lights can break it down by night fall.

It works really well. Safe for apistos.
