Hi Curtis, i think vol. 2 is NOT yet available in the market.
If you have ordered vol. 1, you shouldn't feel bad as it is a very good
book which deserves our waiting and money; ^.^

The most recent - and accurate - apisto book out now is the DATZ Südamerikanische Zwergcichliden/South American Dwarf Cichlids. It was released just this month. Check out my review in the "Lounge" section on this new book.

Uwe's volume 2 won't be out until next year at the earliest - at least in German, but hopefully in English, too. Volume 1 was originally published in 1998 & has several errors & misidentifications. Hopefully these will be up-dated in volume 2.

Mike is right, while i think the book mike
mentions is in german, which is a bit
inconvenient to read for readers who are
unfamiliar with german (i know Mike is very kind
to help with an english translation project ^_^).
There is also one book in chinese, which was
published just a few months ago in Taiwan and Asia.
This book includes
the latest species that is available (e.g.,
A. sp. "Sunrise") and has pretty good photos.
However, the content is not rich enough as i expect
the author may want to publish a vol. 2 sooner or later...
You may take a look at the following:

The book I was talking about is in both English & German. It has photos of all of the known species & forms up to July 2005 - including A. sp. Oregon, Sunrise/Sun-pin, etc. It is similar to the Baensch Aquarium Atlas in its format.

The book I wrote about has the text sections in both English & German. DATZ killed 2 birds with one stone. You can buy it directly from DATZ (Ulmer Verlag). See my description in the "Lounge" section for web sites.
