Can anyone tell me if this is a female Apistogramma Hongsloi

Hi there, I recently ordered a pair of Apistogramma Hongsloi but I think they might both be male. One is alot smaller than the other. Here are some pics of the smaller one

Thankyou so much for letting me know. This is the 5th time I've ordered a pair from my LFS and they turn out to be both male!. Looks like I'm on the look out for some females

Little hint: The trade usually stocks more males than females of colour breeds. Wholesale tends to deliver 4 males for every female.

Also if the store you buy from is constantly unable to correctly sex them, you might want to go to another store.

I'm thinking of ordering fish from swell uk

they don't have any females of those three?

My lfs orders them in from there local supplier, and apparently they can't guarantee if you will receive a pair or not. Considering they are a descent size when they arrive.
Swell uk maybe the only option it's £30 a confirmed pair or £20 each

After looking up the conversion of Pound to Euro that might be cheap. We pay a little more here, except for the domestic breeds.

It's a male of the domestic colour breed.

So us novices can learn the hobby, what features are indicators of the fish being definitively male.

Elongated dorsal, pelvic and anal fins, yellow and white colouration in the fins, the yellow head and red colouration on the body. Females show that hue of yellow only when ready to breed, have shorter rounded fins and no red on the body at all.
