I haven't seen too many pictures of Laetacara araguaiae, so I thought I would throw some of mine up. I finally got some half way decent pics of them with an old point and shoot camera. Unfortunately, the tank was a mess. It was right after a 5 day 24 hour light period (was hoping to grow algae while out of town for their fry) and a complete rearrange of the hardscape ... so ignore all the algae (my idea worked way too well) and the messy sand. :oops: I almost didn't want to post them because of the tank ... but the male is very shy (currently no dithers).

The female is looking a touch rough, as the male as wanted to start breeding again. The rescape has put her back in the mood though.

Yes, in those pics most of the algae was gone via Excel. I did actually add a large portion of Java moss as well as a couple of catappa leaves after their first spawn. I figured that might help given I can't set up any live foods for them at this time, hoping it would help.
