Hi there,

Taking account of body shape, lateral line and the yellow/orange coloration of the pectoral fin that is visible, then I would suggest an ID of Apistogramma sp. Nanay (A82) (also known as Apistogramma sp. Melgar)..

After getting a DATZ book and looking at some pictures I agree. I have fry from them now. They took their first swim on Christmas morning. Merry Christmas too me.

Hi Chris,

Yes, fry free swimming for the first time on Christmas day is quite special. I had a batch of Nanochromis parilus out for the first time yesterday and my mouth brooding Heros severus released the fry for the first time yesterday as well :) :) :)
