Hi everyone. I was referred to this forum by my cohorts at the plantedtank.net. I'm primarily into aquatic plants, but have kept fish since the '80's. That being said, I'm very inexperienced with Apistos. I have a hybrid blue steel that I ordered as and was incorrectly sold to as A. Borellii. Actually I had 2 but had to rehome one due to aggression.
Anyways, to stay on topic. I just aquired a trio of Apisto sp. Oregon and have them sitting in my quarantine tank. They appear to be healthy enough. The problem I'm having is that I can find very little info about this species online. I'm assuming their care is roughly the same as the average apisto. I rescaped my main tank with much driftwood so as to provide plenty of nooks and crannies to provide security and hopefully curtail excess aggression, something I should have done when I obtained my first Apistos, but I don't know if there's anything else I should be mindful of.
Does anyone have any experience or able to relay any other knowledge about these fish?
