Apistogramma sp. ID

[pteroaltum]

I purchased the following two fish (http://www.pbase.com/pteroaltum/unknown_apistogramma_sp) at a recent auction, labeled as Apistogramma steindachneri. I have never seen any A. steindachneri specimen that looks like the following, but I LOVE the extravagant finnage of the male so I bought both fish. They were sold as a PAIR, but I am not sure if the 'female lookalike' is actually a female or if s/he is from the same species as the male. I guess I could just wait and see if they mate. :mrgreen:

Please help me make a positive ID on these beautiful fish. Thank you very much.

1 st pic, Apistogramma sp.aff. juruensis from Peru. 2nd and 3 rd pic, looks like Apistogramma eunotus females.

The first picture is not of the Black-chin/Schwartzkinn Apisto. The abdominal bands are different (too dense & too wavy), the lips are blue (not orange) & the lateral band does not have a separate caudal spot. This is a male A. cacatuoides. I have the same form in my upstairs community tank right now.

The other 2 show a eunotus-complex female, which one is anyone's guess, but probably the most commonly seen Orange-tail form.
