Apistogramma Pebas (Blue Head)

I have seen a listing for these on a online fish store. Though they've not got any pics up. Does anyone know is this different from normal Pebas or is it just marketing ploy? I have to say I was a little intrigued as I only know the Blue Head in reference to A. sp "Steel Blue".

Fish with commercial names can be anything. Without photos it's impossible to say what they are. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if they turn out to be A. sp. Steel-blue - a.k.a. A. sp. Blaukopf/Blue-head.

If your talking about Fishchick then she has A.Pebas "Sp. Morado Purple" in at the moment

I've seen the listing you speak of.....I'm sure it's not Fishchick fish

I'd suggest the fish in question are the apisto with the Blue markings on it's head sold throughout Australia....as Apisto "Blue Head"

They are generally cheap and sold without females....there has been some debate that they are a hybrid as they are coming out of Asia with no females
In many LFS it's often the only apisto offered for sale

They may well be a variety of A pebas....but for $8.25....I wouldn't expect much!
