2- Male or female ?

I agree with Beleg, A. agassizii, probably a domestic red strain. The fish look young. The males will develop the lance-shape tail as they mature.

they are definitely aggie; some are female and some are male.
They look like the red tail form of aggie, which has been
well-established in the hobby, to me :)
