apistogramma cacatuoides with shrimps...

can we put a pair of apistogramma cacatuoides with cherry shrimps in a 60 liters planted aquarium ?

Well you can put them in there. You won't have too many shrimp left after a while but the cacs will be nice and fat and happy!!!

If you do a search there are some pics on here of male cacs having eaten females (a very rare event so don't worry) so a few shrimp won't be a problem!

Some shrimp will probably survive though hidden away in dense plantings. I have a tank with Rainbow shrimp that were breeding merrily until I added a trio of agassizi. The shrimp are still there but there are noticeably less and they hide a lot more.

I asked the same question a while ago on this thread. I was eventually recommended Biotoecus and these didn't seem to affect the population. They never thrived however so I added the agassizi. There are still shrimp in the tank, just not as many. They are still breeding though.

I've kept D. filamentosus successfully with cherry, sakura and tiger shrimp
