Hello everybody,

It is not one of mine, but found in a shop, so I would like to identify this apisto, just for the seller.

I would say a male Apistogramma sp. "Putumayo", A85-86.

It looks like it has a vertically split caudal spot, but I could be wrong.

All the best,
Lars

Thanks lab,

I am a little bit lost with this splitted caudal spot, some pictures show this, but others (page 50 in Datz) don't.... is this one difference between A85 and A86 ?

Just below abother picture to confirm or not this identification.

Ok, I will try to get some more pictures this week-end.

Ok, I have the pictures (1st of all, sorry for the very poor quality).

The story is not so simple, it seems to have different species in the same shipment :

- The fish on the picture from Robert shown above

- Another fish, same specie ? let's call him "fish 2"

- One female ... let's call her "fish 3" :

- And the last but not the least, the "fish 4" (A.norberti ?)

So, it does not help, but in my opinion, there are as many species as fishes in this shipment :( :(

There are supposed to be wild caught, but I am not sure they all came from the same location ...

Your opinion is welcome :)

Photo 1 shows a very pretty female A. sp. Putumayo.
Photo 2 looks like a different species, but I cannot identify it from the photo.
Photo 3 is a big beautiful male A. norberti. The fish in Photo 2 just might be a female A. norberti.

Thank you very much Mike, I will say to the owner that he has to separate the male sp Putumayo and the female norberti :D

Is it possible that all these fishes came from the same location ?
