A. sp. Steel Blue

About a week ago I visited a LFS in Roseville, MI and looked at some "agassizii" they had on display. I am no expert but immediately doubted that they were agassizii. There were three individuals and I purchased the largest (about one and a half inches long).

Through research on this forum I have come to the conclusion that these fish are almost definitely A. sp. Steel Blue. Pretty little fish and I am glad to have the individual in my tank.

I appreciate that the information was there for me on this site's forum. Also just want to warn others in the Detroit area not to get fooled at this aquarium shop (I do not wish to name it by name and I beleive that the employees just did not know any better).

I wouldn't be suprised if they didn't know the difference either. But somewhere along the line somebody wasn't very thoughtful about keeping more appropriate track of the fish they were selling. It happens alot, so it is a good idea to be armed with information and knowledge when choosing fish.
