There is 10-15 fry still swimming around under female's guard. They are now about 1/5 inch. What surprised me today was seeing the female trying to attract the male by swimming next to him and twisting around to show her belly. Is it normal that she is looking after her small ones and already trying to breed again?

What surprised me today was seeing the female trying to attract the male by swimming next to him and twisting around to show her belly. Is it normal that she is looking after her small ones and already trying to breed again?

If you think she's about to lay eggs again, it may be better to get the fry out. I've seen a female cacatuoides attacked her fry when she started guarding her new batch of eggs.

There is a few of the first fry swimming around while the female guards a cave underneath a root and is very inviting to the male. Seems to me like a next spawn...
