A. abacaxis: Male or Female?

Hi all again. A friend has an Apistogramma abacaxis pair about three days ago and he is not sure if the female is really a female or a young and deformed male.

Not enough information to decide its sex. Size? How does it behave with the male? I do agree it looks a bit deformed or extremely obese, whether or not it is male or female.

The behaviour is the normal in a female, and "she" is around 2-3 cm length. Thaks you

Probably a female or sneaker male. 3 cm is still a bit small at times.
