These 2 had already paired up before I got them, perhaps this is why they are so peaceful. No aggression at all. I removed most of the fry today to raise separately, although the parents had shown no aggression towards the fry either. You should try again sometime if you see a nice pair...
Finally, got fry from the other pair. The male and female shared mouthbrooding duties equally, but she became a bit aggresive 2 days ago so I removed her. Here is the male caring for and protecting the brood:

Hi all, I was very lucky last night to witness the first spawning of this young wild pair. They had every possible choice of spawning sites (pebbles, caves, bogwood, plants) in this set-up and selected a flat large stone.

What confuses me is that it has a considerably smaller caudal spot [when it appears - sometimes...:):)] - than the 'Masken' specimens I've seen on several occasions before.
Also, the vertical striping in the tailfin is throughout and obvious as in A. regani and closely related...

On Tom C's site, there's another picture of what appears to be a wild A. viejita specimen, apparently imported as a contaminant (note the dark blotch - a dark marking - again):
