Species: Apistogramma nijsseni
Tank Particulars: 10 gallon...
ok this female was sold to me as a female Apistogramma hongsloi but does not look like any females of that species i have seen...
according to my book and web research the female should have more of a yellow-ish coloring
she is more blue-gray...
thoughts?
i am picking up a pair of A. hongsloi this weekend.
can anyone tell me a little about this species?
would a pair be comfortable in a 10 gallon?
i am hoping to breed them :biggrin:
i am new to this forum, but not totaly new to Apistos/Dwarf Cichlids
i have been keeping; "Orange Flash" Apistogramma cacatuoides, Microgeophagus altispinosa and Microgeophagus ramirezi for about 6 months now :biggrin:
ok i picked this guy up about a week ago. they did not have any females so i only got the one male for now.
he was labled "Blue-Headed" Apistogramma agassizii.
i do not believe that is what i got?
some suggested ID i have gotten on other forums are...Apistogramma inconspicua...
