I'm another one to vote for Assassin snails plus they aren't a bad looking snail either being yellow & black striped. They are single sexed so you need both M&F before they breed but when they do breed it's slow & if food source for them drops the big one pray on the smaller ones so you don't...
Thanks for the welcome, I was thinking of starting out with Apisto cacatuoides as I do like them a lot. Still got some waiting to do as the filter isn't matured yet but it give me the time to get the tank just how I want it well hopefully
The LED panels i've ordered are cheap enough to replace every year but hopefully they'll last longer as they are going to be suspended around 8" above the tank so there should be enough air flow to keep them cool well I hope so if not i'll have to fit a little fan to blow air across them
I'm going to be after some dither fish soon but the only pencil fish I can get local are Beckford's so my other options are Glowlight tetras, Neon tetras or Black neon tetras. Not sure which would be best suited to live a long side Apistogramma
