My A. Iniridea are 3 monthes old. Grew in pure R/O with half grown ancistrus in a 45 liter aquarium with massive filtration
Feeding is based only on detritus from a gambisia inhabited aquarium situated in a sunny spot. You can see the green guk at the bottom:
Feeding twice dayly...
finally an active pair of Iniridea. They are guarding a territory. And the fm has her own half coconut that she gets in & out of. The pH is kind of too high (5.5 70-100µS) so I guess there is a low chance for getting something out of the eggs.

In several of the reports on the water tested at some black water habitats they report on very low conductivity (around 10 microS, for example) yet a very low pH (around 4.0).

Is there any special tip for keeping them?
Are they as delicate as specified by Romer?
Here are some pics
Thanks
Koty
I am considering to supplement my R/O water with a bit of sea salt. Does anybody has any comments/experience?
and of course how much to add?
Thanks
Koty
I read in O. Romer's book that some apistogramma species require seasonal and even daily temperature fluctuations. The lack of these, he claims, can compromise the immune system and more specifically cause hexamita. I am intrigued since it is the third case of hole in the head I have. I keep the...
