As much as yamato shrimps are pretty big, your apisto will stalk them... Hover around them and peck at them whenever the opportunity arises...
As for your cherries (or you meant Crystal Red, CRS?) I have seen my Aga havin one in his mouth!
Issit normal for the filamentus of the D. filamentosus to break off?
One of my male's lyretail seems to break off for some reason which I am unsure off...
The only condition it will change with the introduction of live plants in the reduction of NO3! And maybe a slight change in pH, due to the removal of CO2 in the water during their photosynthesis. But then again, with your low light, the growth will be slow and so uptake of both NO3 and CO2 will...
Recently, my male A. agassizii seemed to be under some stress. He likes to hide in a corner and turns into a dark brown coloured fish.

i think had I not taken him out from the tank into a hospital tank, he probably will still be alive today... His two females also had some parasite, from the looks of their stringy transparent poo-poo... But today, both of them are still swimming around happily... :frown:
Sadly, the fish has passed on after some internal parasite stopped it from eating... :frown: That's the only picture I have of him...
Looking for a replacement male... Hence the initial question...
Hi, my first post here...
