    Dicrossus 420 L

Ok! I have a second tank (90cm x 40cm x 30cm) that is in stand by right now. I can use it as a temporary home for the fishes. Will work on that soon, I promise :) Again, thank you very much for your help Mac!

    Dicrossus 420 L

Yes it is... I was planing to change it for river sand if I'd chosen the panduro pair, but prefered to keep it for the dicrossus. When I had my first dicrossus, back to 10's, I realized that them don't chew like geophagus or apistogrammas, so it was a calculated risk with this tank. Well, at...

    Dicrossus 420 L

Green leaves out, new leaves in. I'm still looking for new driftwoods and roots. Dicrossus are starting to color up (brownish and greenish parts thru body) and one of them is showing that continuous bodyline. Think it's the dominant male, right?

    Dicrossus 420 L

I picked up the fallen leaves, so I assumed that even the green ones are good to put in... but I'll remove them. Thank you.

    Dicrossus 420 L

Hi. This weekend I collected some mulberry leaves and brought two Echinodorus bleheri. I know it's not an ideal plant for cover the surface of the aquarium but didn't find any good plant for that. I'll try again this week in another LFS. Guava trees are not losing leaves yet. Also add 3...

    Dicrossus 420 L

Yes, I doubt the fry can make it. As i said, the tank will be more "decorated". I'm still looking for driftwood and branches, even some rocks to make caves. Also, there are any plants that you recommend? At the moment I have Nymphaea lotus and Anubias nana. My preference is keep only amazonian...

    Dicrossus 420 L

Good to know! I'll buy more 2 or 3 juvs and keep my eyes at them. In any case of excessive agression I can separate to another tank. Looks like it will be "one male tank" for me then.

    Dicrossus 420 L

I agree. Only use it as example. There is a big natural reserve in my town called "Serra do Japi", one of the biggest fragments of Mata Atlântica that remains free of the human activities. I collected a lot of driftwoods there. It's a nice place to find the leaves too. Well, I'll keep waiting...

    Dicrossus 420 L

Hello Mac, All my pencils came extremely thin. But I'd already paid for then, so I brought them home to see if I can save some of them... Unfortunately it not happen. I assume that at least 2 of my dicrossus are females. The pectoral fins are getting orangish. One of them is showing some...

    Dicrossus 420 L

Hello. Some time ago I was asking for help with this tank. Initially it should be the home of a panduro pair but I prefer to keep only dicrossus. The tank is 1,4m x 0,5m x0,6m and I keep 5 juvenile Dicrossus filamentosus and 15 Paracheirodon axelrodi. I also bought 10 Nannostomus eques but...

    Tetras with panduro pair

Hello Mac, thanks for answer. I'll problably go with 15 of each type. If I work with just a male panduro, would you still not recomend mix with any other dwarf? Thanks in advance.

    Tetras with panduro pair

Thanks Darrel, I'll try to get some of them soon.

    Tetras with panduro pair

What tetra species would you recomend to mix with a panduro pair in a 420 liters tank (1,4m x 0,5m x 0,6m)? Can I add another apistogramma species too or they will harass each other too much in that space? Thanks!

    Possible 450L project

So if I chose to keep just the males, are this species that I mentioned a possible mix? Are 3 males too much for the tank?

    Possible 450L project

My intention isn't to breed, just think about pairs to make them have more natural behaviours. If I chose to keep just males it will be a problem?

    Possible 450L project

Hello, I'm a new member from São Paulo. I'm thinking of change my tank project. Currently I have a 150cmx50cmx60cm tank, with two polypterus and one clown knife fish and maybe I'll change that for an south american tank. Here my doubts: Can I keep two species of apistogramma togheter in this...
