This product it's not exclusive for aquariums but works just fine.
I also use LEDs lighting, but in the picture it was off. I reduced the ilumination for a few days to help me fight the cianos.

My tap water pH is around 7.0~7.2, so I have to low my tank first. Besides cycling of course.

I think I've finally win the war against the cianos.
I used azithromycin for five days. 1 mg per liter. After the 5th day I did a 50% WC. Looks like it worked. No visible damage was noticed in the tank biology. The fishes are doing great and looking healthy.

I'm starting a new tank, the dimensions are 90 x 30 x 40.
It's not ready yet but I'm planing to keep Apistogramma abacaxis in here.
Can a pair or maybe trio live togheter in this dimensions? I read that males can be really bullys...

It looks like it. This weekend I'll remove the affected driftwood. I hope it helps and reduce the cyanos at the substrate as well.

Well, I doubt that it will work at this pH range... Even if it works, the tetras will prey the fry. But at least it's a nice thing to see in my tank.

I 'm still fighting against the cyanobacterias. I remove it by hand in every WC. The tank looks fine for one or two days, then the cyanos grows up again.
Yesterday I noticed some "weird" behavior between two dicrossus... Could it be breeding behaviour? Some pictures below:

I did. It grew up again... It's growing even in the glass. Every WC I try to remove them with a brush and by hand but in few days it is back.

I think the snails infestation are controlled for now. I removed a LOT off eggs by hand.
That fish is one of the two that are smaller than the others... Makes sense that it could be a male.
Despite that, I don't see any kind of agression between them. It is a very calm tank until now.

Unfortunelly I can't find assassin snails for buy here in Brazil. I did a quickly research online and couldn't find it.
Looks like I'll have to pick them off. Wich is sad because I feel bad for kill them like that. :(

I bought 10 more Paracheirodon axeroldi, 10 Hemigrammus bleheri and 6 Carnegiella strigata. I'll buy 5 more Carnegiellas next friday. Also discovery some snail species, probably came with the plants.
The Echinodorus doesn't look so well. I'm adding liquid fertilizer weekly...
Oh, just one more question: How much I should wait to replace the fishes back in the tank after the substrate change? Considering that I'll keep the rocks and the driftwoods. I think it helps with the water parameters, doesn't it?
