Wild caught "group" imported last summer. I just added a bunch of oak leaves two weeks ago and was rewarded with one of the females bringing out a group of fry a few days ago! (I'm working on better pictures of the male but the brooding female chases him into hiding anytime he sticks his head...
Don't hold your breath...those little guys in the pictures are not bitaeniata and I'm pretty sure they are male. I would agree with paucisquamis or something VERY close to that like mendezi (the broader lateral line has me leaning toward mendezi).
Imported as A. cf. hongsloi from Cusiana last June or July. All the pictures are of a single pair I kept back. The male is about 2 1/4" long and the female 1 1/2" long.
Personally I don't see hongsloi but something closer to viejita/macmasteri.
This little guy has been a joy to watch grow up. In only a few weeks after import he has put on some size and gone from a hint of color to almost a show stopper. And he is still only 1 3/4" long at best!

I just posted some new pictures of this guy on my home page at www.aquaticclarity.com I'll try to get them loaded to photobucket and posted here next week once I get back from The Catfish Cataclysm Convention in Madison, WI this weekend. http://catfish-cataclysm.com/
I'll try to get some current pictures of this guy taken and posted soon. He is turning into a knock out! His fellow males in the sales tank are looking nice too.
Why order now?

Here is the biggest male in the tank (moving to my spawning tanks tonight) to give you an idea of the stock. Not a great pic as another fish swam in front of him but you get the idea.
