Apistogramma agassizii Fire Red with white trimmed tail (and a very full belly)
Apistogramma agassizii Fire Red with red tail (right after eating baby brine shrimp)
Baenschi are not really harem spawning fish so if you are down to those two choices go with the bitaeniata. I'd also suggest fewer the 3 males in a 120cm tank. 2 males at best and 4 females. And that will be pushing it unless you have a lot of shelter for them.

Which ever name you want to put on the form is fine but he is a nice male A. cacatuoides. Triple Red, Mega Red, Super Red...all sales names for different bred lines of the basic same fish.
The "blue" have a more blue/grey body and bright red/Orange fins then a normal triple red cacatuoides. I really like this strain. The "cs" are a nice donned triple red. I've had them before and like their fin structure a lot more then many of the other strains that have been bred for just...

Only if I have extra males. Wild caught Apistos often come in male heavy and then I sell male only but I order the tank raised fish in pairs when ever possible.
You just happen to inquire about 3 fish were I either don't have any males (fire reds) or I'm female heavy already.
More Apistos coming in this week but almost everything was ordered as paired. I'll know more though once I actually receive them. I did order a few things at smaller sizes unsexed to grow out but they will most likely not be bid enough sex yet.
Does it look like there are yellow circles/spots surrounded by a faint black outline in the ventral fins? Not just a black leading edge and a yellow area.
Cacatuoides complex and possibly A. allpahuayo based on what I think are yellow and black patterned ventral fins and the non-zig zag lines through the belly.. A picture of the side of the fish with the fins open would help a lot though.
I don't have any male agassizii fire red right now (just 3 females left). But here is a picture of a male from a few weeks ago or so:
I have a picture of a male mega red in the gallery thread I started: http://www.apistogramma.com/forum/threads/photo-gallery.17702/ (I'll continue to post more...
Sorry, not from those pictures. Get the fish fattened up some, clean the algae off the glass, and try to get some in focus shots of the fish from their side. Getting clear shots with a camera phone might not prove possible though.
Yes, I believe the agassizii Alenquer Red Tail are a crossed out fish. Lots of yellow in the body, wide dark lateral line strip, and a bright red tail. Very nice display tank fish.
I also HAD some red tail form A. erythrura that looked like the fish in this thread ad I should have some more...
