Made it back from our Bolivia collecting trip. Overall successful. Collected 5 species of Apistogramma and got them home.

Soon I will be leaving on a collecting trip to Bolivia. We plan to collect in both the Chaco and then north into Beni. I have collected in Beni on a previous trip and hope to be able to once again bring back erythrura , staecki and linkei. I have not been to south eastern Bolivia before but plan...
I may be the last to know but in case others didn't know either, Kordon has changed their bags to what feels like a thicker material and eliminated the side seams. I called the company and they said that they had changed the bags.
I was afraid that there were counterfeit bags with the Kordon label.
I use CaribSea Peace River gravel that is also not suppose to affect hardness and pH. My water is very soft 50-70 ppm and acidic 4.5-6.5. This gravel has not affected those parameters.
Sorry to hear about the water levels. But you did get to go collecting and that is always an adventure. I look forward to some pictures of the fish you caught.
When we collect Apistos, Rivulus are also on the menu so to speak. Mike is right, they love to jump out of the net or holding container. When we bring them home each rivulus gets a separate bag. Learned from experience.
