    A few Q's about Apistogramma's

That's a great idea! Florida has no shortage of random storms!

    A few Q's about Apistogramma's

Not necessarily.. while it would make the most sense.. say you set up a species only 20 long. You'd be into a weekly 6-8 gal wc?? I do that on mine anyways. If you cut it than you'd be needing 4 gals of ro or distilled. My lfs sells it at 50 cents a gal.. that's not to bad if you don't mind the...

    A few Q's about Apistogramma's

Hey there! Name looks familiar. Tpt? Anyways. I could be wrong but here.. most apistos are going to prefer a little softer water. You could stock with cactoides as they're rather forgiving or cut your tap with ro/distilled. Almond leaves will help a bit too. Florida seems to be pretty void of...

    flourite black sand

I would never use it without a cap. It may be fine left alone but doing scape work would be a disaster id think.

    Male and Female(maybe)?

+1, although I've seen some crazy things with these little apistos. Sneaker males can make it tricky to sex when they're small and new to a tank. I'd say it's most likely 2 males though.

    trios in 10

Agree with mike. It's really to small for a pair, 20l would evoke much better behavior.

    A. Cacatuoides set up help

I would stick to a pair in anything less than a 20 long. If you want to successfully rear fry for sale than a species only tank would be my suggestion. Tetras are fry snipers. Rummy nose will stress the female our big time. They work like a wolf pack. Even my embers are ruthless little hunters...

They look great, i lucked out with pretty much identical stock to yours. I had the male with a wc female, he showed off for her all the time, she didn't like him.. added a fem. Gbr and they spawned the next morning. You can see how much more relaxed he is with his new gf.. i had bad luck as...

    A. Panduro Blackwater, Aggressive Female!

My female is a psycho too, male can take it though, he forced the last fem. to jump the tank. Funny thing is I have a glass top, she hit a hole the size of a quarter to escape. They're extremely aggressive apistos. Not that I have a ton of experience but she literally kills snails when in spawn...
