    I use an extra air stone. If the tank is deep (like a 20 H) you can make it easier to aerate and use less medication if you drop the tank 1/2 way.

    The pH in their natural habitat is neutral. It probably rises a little higher in the rainy season. Carbonate hardness is zero. TDS is less than 25 ppm. Temperature is a cool 72-74 F.

    Yes or no? The back story on these fish is that they are the offspring of jewel cichlids imported by Dolphin International from Nigeria a few years ago as 'H. bimaculatus' (which they are not).
