    Apisto Abacaxi sexing

The second fish could be female. Have you seen any interaction between them?
  2. K

    Dicrossus maculatus

Perhaps taking things in from the “wild” introduced something that killed your fish? Could you ask the people that you bought them from have also had unexplained deaths?

    Dicrossus maculatus

Planaria = overfeeding in my experience. Only ever seen them when I was attempting to grow out six discus. This was despite changing about 25% of the water 3 times a week.

    Kribenses male or female?

Agree, a young male. Does the female display in front of “him”?

    Kribenses male or female?

Pelvic fins are the absolute key in sexing “kribs”. Not quite clear enough in those pics.

    Panduro breathing heavy

If they are from the same brood and this is a genetic deformation then I would not try to raise any fry from them.

Looking for Cacatiodes or other apisto proven pair, PLEASE!

Ideally, being able to examine the fish so that you can see that they are of good enough quality to breed from is what you want to do.

    Sexing agassizii fire red

Why not see if you can return one male in exchange for a female?

    Wild Cacatuoides ID

The male is a beauty, what a large mouth it has.

    help with reproduction

Your tanks really need a lot more in them to provide cover. I would also look at sand as a substrate rather than whatever you have.

    help with reproduction

Are you sure that the fish are all pairs and of the same species? Can you post pics? The tank you posted a picture off is crying out for more cover, such as would to provide some seclusion.

    Ivanacara Bimaculata in the UK

Maybe try the British Cichlid Association?

    New bitaeniata

    Lovely fish.

Help with Sexing and possible stomach issues

Doesn’t look a good quality fish at all. Its head looks too big for its body. Belly is also sunken. Do you feed any live or frozen food such as brine shrimp to your fish? It looks like a domestic form of cacatuoides to me.

Selling Macmasteri Juveniles - UK North West

Nice one @IanR. What else was in this community tank? @MacZ - why should the OP separate the parents? There might be a reasonable market for the fish. I’ve seen plenty of Apistos for sale in shops at less than 4cm. Some of the (Czech?) fish for sale at Maidenhead Aquatics are very small.

    Apistogramma sp. Blutkehl

Outstanding fish. Do sp Blutkehl has a described name yet?

Are any of these female elizabeth ?

I’d get them healthy before wondering what they are. Hopefully they turn out really nice specimens.

    Macmasteri Juvenile Coloring

    Me too!

    Apistogramma elizabethae question

Is it just not showing its true colours as it isn’t currently in good condition?

    Apistogramma Panduro Pairing!

I imagine they just need time, the right environment and good feeding. Pandora and nijsseni females are just the best to me.
