Are the Gold veijitas a line bred variant of Macmasteri?
Last time I was in the hobby, it was a general belief that there were no true veijitas in the hobby, and that they were all line bred variants of Macmasteri.

There is indeed true viejita in the hobby but it is not publicly available to anyone and no shop is selling the real specie. We had about 10 pairs entered the UK during summer. Of course what Bob47 is owning is macmasteri as there is only one form of viejita exist. Here you can see a video of the male. Viejita has a red border on dorsal fin which in mac it doesn't exist or even if it's, it is very very pale (you can see it in line bred macs which had their colours improved). Also, viejita has a more slender body which in macmasteri is wider.
