Apisto Kullanderi juvenile sexing

looking for info on how to sex juvenile Kullanderi. Have a pair spawning consistently and need help separating them as they grow out.

If they are juveniles I'm afraid that will be nearly impossible. They should all look about the same. Depending on their size/age males tend to be the more aggressive and a bit larger - but not always.

I've found that females tend to have absolutely no spotting/dot patterns on their caudal fins, whereas males will show some patterning, even if it's faint.

I've been able to see the different at about 1.25-1.5" fish, although of course the caveat (as for all apistogramma) is that perhaps what appear to be females with no patterning could be just juvenile males. The best I can describe it as is similar to Apistogrammoides pucallpaensis sexual dimorphism as juveniles though. Just take a really good eye and sometimes good lighting haha.
