Does anybody know what happened to the publication of Cichlid Atlas 1 new edition?
It was supposed to be published early this year, but from some reason it didn't...
That is really an amazing phenomenon, I've never encountered it in other Cichlids.
By the way, can you guess how it was possible for the eggs to survive without water circulation all that time?...

My country is very close to yours and our summers are very hot too (and getting worst every year). I must agree with you that the computer fans are the most cheap and practical way of keeping the temperatures a little bit down if you don't have a chiller, and we also use this solution...
The water I'm getting from my RO is usually pH 6.0-6.5. When I need a lower pH I'm usually using some acids for the job. Do you do the same? Especially when trying to breed some black water species...

The small one does look like a female but I think it's to early to decide, it might be a young male. Not to mention the fact that females are not so common in this species...
I also use a big barrel filled with RO water that are been circulated and heated by a normal aquarium heater (in winter time). The water I'm getting from my RO system are in pH 6.0 and 25 mS so I have to mix it up with more higher conductivity water to the right proportion (just by adding...
