Hey, I just got a pair of apistos labeled as Apistogramma baenschi, and wanted to confirm if this is correct as I have never seen them in person before. Thanks!
All good, and thanks for the response and information.
Mine finally took his first pellet last week. He hasn't looked at them since and only eats frozen for now.
I believe that he was from the Orinoco, the supplier I got mine from thought they were closer to nothophtalmus then regani when he...
I was just looking at a fish list I have ordered from in the past and saw wild caught APISTOGRAMMA SP. CAÑO IRACA listed on it. I looked online but found nothing on it.
Does anyone know anything about it or what it looks like?
Any photos would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks for answering Mac. You always respond quickly and give good answers.

I just got in a shipment of 6 A. cacatuoides “Rio itaya”, this is my first time ordering fish online and I was wondering if I should be feeding them tonight or wait until tomorrow when they are more settled in?
Better photos to come once they are out. Still fairly small.
Hey everyone, I recently came into position of 5 apistos. This is my first time owning an apisto but I have a dwarf pike (I think a regani) and GBRs.
They are wild caught and label as orinoco apistos. There looks to be two distinct fish.
I can take more photos if needed.
On a side note, I...
