    Does the perfect fish exist?

I'm looking for a very specific fish to live and breed in my 20 gallon high. The tank is currently blackwater and i would prefer to keep it that way, so I am looking for a softwater cichlid that gets no bigger than 5-ish cm and would happily live as a pair or trio in a 20. It doesn't have to be...

    Single or group of A.panduro?

If my apisto would be happier in a group i have other tanks i could use as grow out, but if he is fine alone then I wouldn't go out of my way to breed them.

    Single or group of A.panduro?

Hi I have recently upgraded my tank to a 250l which has dwarf pencilfish and 1 panduro, and I was thinking about getting some more apistos. Do these apistos prefer to live in a group or alone? I'm completely happy to just have one if that's best for the fish

    Tankmates for A. Agassizii

i will only be having a single male and my school of pencilfish, im not willing to take the risk of finding a female that will pair when i dont have a plan for any rejected females.

    Tankmates for A. Agassizii

I went down today but they had sold out of my top choices, however they had a few male A. Panduro left and after finding out they were f1 i couldn't resist. I'll post pictures once he is settled, very pretty little fish only about an inch long right now.

    Tankmates for A. Agassizii

It's a 33 gallon/130litre, 85x37cm floor space. With dwarf pencilfish and ember tetras, no bottom dwellers although I have amano shrimp but they can be easily moved. Water is soft, it's a blackwater tank. What other species would work? as I said agassizii are easiest to get but my lfs...

    Tankmates for A. Agassizii

It's not going to be a breeding tank, but nor is it strictly a display tank. I'm happy to scape in a way that prevents line of sight and I already have leaf litter alder cones ect. I'd like a pair of trio of fish that will act as a centrepiece for the tank

    Tankmates for A. Agassizii

No in the 30 with the other fish, and i would use the 20 as a grow out tank if they had fry
