Under gravel cave?

I’m wondering if anyone has any knowledge of apistogramma using an under gravel cave? I think it would be a fun idea instead of the usual pot or cave.

Never tried it. The cave entrance is way to big as is. Usually it shouldn’t be much bigger than for the female to slide in sideways.
But i agree i could be fun to follow along.
If you want apistos to breed i would loose the oddball (sorry, i don’t have a nice name for those). They also need cooler water than the apistos.

Those are advertisement pictures. At least the one with the overbred carp. (same with the names...)

Thank you! No worries. That is just a picture for reference. I don’t have a goldfish in with my tropical fish.

How odd, I just happened across the listing for these caves yesterday and thought the design had some potential. If for a smaller entry hole some adaptations were made, for breeding Apistogramma. Same for some of the smaller plecos.
