What is needed for a fishing trip?

The minimum equipment for a short trip to Iquitos should be what??

That really depends on the type of collecting you want to do. First you need a way to get around. If you only want to collect locally you can use the mototaxis. If you want to collect further away you need a boat and crew. You probably need a guide as well. To collect you need a net, usually a dip net, containers to keep the fish in, and a place to store the fish out of the sun. Clothing is a personal choice. When young and foolish, I wore shorts and some sort of water shoe. Now I keep my legs covered as much as possible. Also medications to both prevent and treat any problems. Then you need to get the fish home. If you live in Peru that should not be a problem. That's the minimum I can think of right now. My collecting trip list is much more extensive.

You also need to know that security will not let you take fish in your baggage from the Iquitos airport back to Lima. Check this before trying.

Well that would be the first time I hear that
Of course I will declare the fishes and usually there is no problem with that , as aquarium friends here and in Iquitos assured me.
Anyway, I will have a word with the owner of Rio Momon about this and if there are doubts he can send the fish back home.
