West African Cichlid Trade Shortage?

I have been trying to find some Pelvicachromis taeniatus/subocellatus for over a year now in South Korea to no avail. Several stores had them in the past but have not received any new shipments for a long time.

Has anyone else noticed a similar trend in other parts of the world? I kind of wonder if the Ebola outbreak and even the Boko Haram activity has had some impact on the export of these fish.

Well I'm in Australia, and have found that for the first time ever they are avaliable. Not cheap, but definately worth the cost. Maybe all the Korean stock is being sent ex-asia to Australia, getting a higher price?

well I guess that's good news in a way ... I just have to maintain my patience and they should show up here again eventually.
