Hi all,
I bought a trio of the sub-adult true Splash "Tetra" Copella arnoldi a couple of months ago, and they have been very prolific, meaning that I now have at least 30 juveniles, from fairly small fry to sexable sub-adult. (Picture/more info in this thread <http://www.ukaps.org/forum/threads/splash-tetra-copella-arnoldi.32494/>)

They make good dithers (I've got them in with 1m:2f Apistogramma agassizii) and are surface orientated. I would make more use of them, but I haven't got any other tanks with tight fitting lids and they really need a tank with a good lid, as they jump towards the light when spawning and can jump large distances.

It is a very weedy tank, and these have just resulted from fry survival.

I won't post them, but pick up could be from Bath/Keynsham (they are in the lab.) or Corsham/Chippenham/Melksham.

£5 a pair, £7 for a trio or £10 for 6 un-sexed juveniles.

cheers Darrel

Hi all,
"will u be going to the british cichlid associations northern convention darrel"
Peter I'm not, but I'll ask on the BCA forum if any-one is going from Bristol, Bath, N. or W. Wilts.

I haven't got many other spare fish at the moment (I probably have some, but I need to have a sort out), but I've got Vinegar Eel & Black worm cultures, spare plants, structural leaf litter etc. that people could have.

Hi all,
"hahaha leaf litter always comes in handy especially this time of year lol "
I've got Oak, Alder cones etc but I've also collected a lot of "structural" leaves as well from Magnolia grandiflora and Loquat (Eriobotrya japonica). These are really long lasting (3 to 4 times longer than Oak leaves) and provide a lot of small caves. I got the idea after seeing them used for Dendrobates Frog vivaria.

".... how do u culture the black worms ? never had them before"

They are really easy to culture, I've got some in the bottom of the filter, some in a tank (no dwarf cichlids or Corydoras) and some in a bucket outside with leaves and Ceratophyllum.

I think Mark Breeze has some Blackworms for sale? and will be at the BCA forum? He may have some Magnolia leaves as well. Ste Chesters has had Splash Tetra, so he may have some for sale.

cheers Darrel
