Some sort of growth on the side of my apisto. Is it bacterial of some sort of tumor or cyst?

I wouldn't want to try a diagnosis from this foto. Is it possible to take some more high-res pictures and post them together with this template filled out?

Just copy / paste and fill it out. If you have no water parameters that's fine, but if you do, please don't just write "fine" or "excellent" but give us numbers. And please don't forget to add a picture of the whole tank.

Which animal is affected? Species, sex, age?

  • male apistogramma bitaeniata

What are the symptoms? Any changes in look, behaviour, bearing, buoyancy, fecies?

  • growth on the side of the Apistogramma. Has grown over the course of a month

How long has the problem been going on? (Timeline?)

  • About a month

What's the full stocking list?

  • male & female apistogramma bitaeniata
  • 10x Cardinal Tetras
  • 8 Pygmy corydoras
  • 2 otocinclus catfish
  • 2 mystery snails
  • Cherry shrimp idk how many

Any changes in the behaviour of the other fish?

No change

What size is the tank? (Preferrably dimensions, not volume!)

Length 25 inches

Height 17.25 inches

Width 13.25 inches

How long is the tank running?

7 ish months

Have there been any changes in the past 2 months? New animals, plants, decoration?

Most recent additions were the apistos and some Java moss

What food are the fish fed? How much, how often?

Alternate between live Black worms, frozen baby brine shrimp and bug bites, I usually feed them every other day or every two days

What is the temperature?
78 degrees F

What are the water parameters? (Please note all known tank and source water parameters in numbers! Not "good", "optimal" or "perfect"!)
I do not have any water parameters atm

What test kit did you use? (liquid, strips, store service?)

Are you using water conditioners or any other additives? (e.g. dechlorinators, humic/blackwater extracts, fertilizers)
No

What filter are you using? (Canister, sponge, internal, mattenfilter?)
Sponge

What's the maintenance regimen? (Waterchange volume and frequency, thorough cleaning of filters/substrate?)
20% changes every other week

Have there been any chemicals used around the tank? (Cleaning agents, room sprays, wall paint, adhesives...)
No

Have there been any pesticides, fungicides or herbicides used around the tank?
No

Are there any unknown animals in the tank?
Not that I am aware of

What has been done already? (Timeline!)
So far I have just been keeping track of its growth

If so, what meds have been used? (Timeline!)
None

Please provide pictures/videos of the fish AND tank in question!

The picture makes it hard to see 3d but it looks like a scrape with the skin missing. If that is accurate some fungus might form (don't treat) and it will regrow and then the fungus will disappear on its own. If it is on the surface and not a scrape it might be bacteria.

It does come out from its body slightly.
