Hi there,
Greetings from the other side of the Atlantic!
I have a couple of Apistogramma trifasciata in a 240L community tank together with a couple of Ottos, 2 stiphodos, 3 danio margaritats and 2 guppy. Not much populated, I agree, but i love it spacy. Later, I am planning to add more friends to each Species and an other apisto female but not sure if they 'll have enough space for three of them,
I bought all of them without knowing exactly what they needed (kind of "this one is nice, this one too.."). Now I am trying to imagine how to handle the fact they need different parameters of water. Especially danio, apistos and gobies.
It s a new tank 3 weeks only and (I moved the fish 2 weeks ago from my old 80L tank). I am currently reading Walstad theory of low tech aquaria and in parallel a book about aquascaping thechnics. All together is a very amazing reading, Sometimes they stand quite opposit things. Anyway in my tank no furtizing, just Loire sand (neuter, very popular here in France).
The tank is equipped with two bio filters (new external a my old internal which a keep running the time of establishing the balance, then i ll remove it), hit to 24 ºC (that s the reason i am here by the way), two 18W LED from ramp my old tank and 1 20W LED originally sold with the tank.
Voilà that s it.
