I am having problems raising EBRs. I was able to remove about a dozen fry from the batch and put them in a quart (I think this is the correct size) plastic tup-ware. I have used the same technique to raise GBRs, cacs, Pelv Moliwe and Nyete...etc. Once a day I make a water change using water from the parents tank. I feed them green water or algae scrapings from another EBR tank. Things are good for the first three days...then the just evaporate.
I only want to grow a few just to keep stock for myself....my tank space is limited.
I keep java moss in the container and an air stone to create small movement on the surface. I am wondering if I should leave them a little longer with the parents. I think I got them out the first day they were free swimming....maybe the second day at the most.
Any ideas/suggestions are welcome.
thanks
george
