The other day i snagged one of the two female (the smaller one) and the male ladisalo that were in my 65 with the IB and moved them to a 29 with some dither. I couldn't get the larger female as she saw the net and took to the hills.

Anyway since i moved them every time i go to the 29 to feed the fishes the female flares at me. She will just stare at me and start flaring.

Why is she flaring at me and how long is this gonna last ?

If she is only flaring at you, it is possible the front glass is reflekting when you're in front of the tank and she sees her own mirror image.

I think (and hope hope I'm right) it will stop once you know and removed the reason.

I thought about that - but if that is the case i can't exactly remove the reflection from the glass can i?

Btw this is the tank - i mean i guess i could paint the front black but then i wouldn't be able to see into it.

If you're lucky the glass is just coated, dusted, stained with something or it's just the light situation. You have racks, right? Is there a tank above that one? If the light hit's you in the wrong angle, this might also be part of it.

Nope it is a stand alone tank on a 29 inch tall stand - no racks - nothing but ceiling above it.

It is funny you mentioned rack - i was just telling someone the other day how inefficient i am since none of my aquariums are 'stacked'. In some sense i enjoy it this way since each one is 'personal' and gets special attention and with racks - that seems less the case.
