Possible apistogramma tankmates for trochilocharax ornatus

Just wondering if it would be possible to get apistogramma tankmates for some trochilocharax ornatus, Id be putting them in a blackwater aquarium thats 80x30cm. Ill be waiting for a response from the shop to get what ph they have them in but id say it will be around 5-6 ph wise

It's typical in the trade to acclimate softwaterfish to average tapwater for holding and transport, you can rather extepect them to arrive in 7. The EC of the water is much more important to know for acclimation purposes.
The region these characins come from is roughly the same where many forms of A. ortegai come from.

At 2cm/0.8" maximum size, I fear that any apisto might consider them lunch. My rule of thumb, "any fish that can get another fish in its mouth ... will".

True that, have seen these tetras at sizes not fitting in an Apistos mouth though. Wouldn't keep them with any big mouthed species.
I think Dicrossus would be a good combination, though.
