I bought 3 very small fish as A. Macmasteri. After while each one seems to be different. Two look more or less like Macmasterii but third one looks quite strange. Any idea what it could be:

Quality is not good because I use 2.1MPxl automatic camera with very weak flash.

Consider your Apisto ID'd

Dear Mordor,

Mike Wise, the ASG's Senior Tech. Editor and the American guru of Apistogramma, has the following to say about your mystery fish:

"After looking at all the photos I'm pretty sure
that this fish is a male A. sp. Rotpunkt. I assume
that your friend's macs are domestic. Rotpunkts in
the hobby are domestic, too."

The Rotpunkt form is quite a Columbian beauty. Any chances of getting a female or two?
