nijsseni with husbandry problems

hi there,

two weeks ago I purchased a couple of nijsseni. in the store they appeared to have coupled. but now the male is constantly harrasing the female. :frown:
what should I do? purchase more females and see if they will be accepted?
as far as I know the nijsseni is a monogamous fish.

quite small I believe 10 g. but they are there temporary i'm going to move them to a 100 g tank. the problem is that in the big tank i'm not able to catch them so quickly. do you think that when I move them to the big tank the male will accept the female?

i wouldn't try a match like that in a 10 gal. i would try it in the large tank though with multiple caves.
