Hemichromis sp. "Bangui"

Hello Nebraska,

What is your name, please?

The Hemichromis sp. "Bangui" shipment was shared with Tom Grenevich in PA and Dr. Paul Loiselle in NJ. Unfortunately, the photos in the profile don't do this fish justice. H. sp. "Bangui" is actually a very red jewel fish. Until I can get some better photos, however, the ones up on the site will have to suffice.

If anyone has web space and can oblige, I have several videos of this form spawning.

All the best,

Randall Kohn

Randall,

I look forward to seeing more images (and videos) of the Bangui. Good to hear you guys have spawned this species, rendering likely a broader distribution in the hobby.

Best,

randell is right these fish look much better in person, and with soft water they to me look alot like a bulker cristatus, with darker red outlines, however i only have one bull male left out of the group. they r however easy to breed, so please let me know if they ever come in again.
