Just made a video of my breeders. Figured I'd post it here to see what you all think.

I'm not in breeding mode right now so I have too many fish in each tank. Most are offspring from previous spawns that I need to get rid of. I need to come up with a good grow out system.

On the subject of grow out tanks. How well does a larger say 40 - 50gal. bare bottom tank work for growing out young? I'm talking stocking it with 40 or more young fish of maybe 3 to 4 different species. With so many fish and no hard scapes they can't really develope pecking orders and claim teritories ect. Is its a healthy situation for the fish? provided water changes are often of course. I've always disliked this method as it seems so much like a prison environment to me. what methods do you use to grow out your young outside the parent tanks?

I use 4"/10cm-long pieces of PVC pipe layered all over the bottom of bare grow-out tanks. As I siphon out debris from the bottom, the pipes are moved around, so the territories are continually rearranged; no way to form a territory.
